Alright since the narrative doesnt tell you how many dvds this thing holds let me. It holds about 588 general dvd cases. 28 dvds per each section you see in the picture. Now this isint too hard to put together, it was easyer than I belief it would be. Should take the median guy 1-2 hours. When assembling always read a few steps ahead so you understand how each peice should face.
You absolutely need to stare at the pictures in the directions to double check which holdes get what type of hardware, or at least I did. uncomplicated stuff, I just double checked all before manufacture any big moves. Now some people on these reviews say to take off the 3 top trim peices in order to use all of the shelf space. Dont do this if you are storing dvds or blu-rays. If you do sit dvds on the top section right under the trim peices, the dvd will be a hair too tall. Dont Worry, if you slide the dvd in at an angle it will fit in just fine and dandy, the trim peices will be in front of the dvd's and will cover just a hair off the top of the dvd case. Also the only bad thing about this item is the wall mount bracket, its a plasic thing with a zip tie. Im not kidding here. So I didint even mess around with this.
I went to the hardware store and bought 2 small black L brackets and a few small screws and mounted it against the wall like that, much easyer and safer. This shelf theory looks good and is nice for the money. I still have room for about 125 dvds, once I sat every movie I owned on the shelves.
